Members of Icon Fitness in Wexford town showcased their community spirit and fitness prowess by participating in a charitable event at the RDS, Dublin. The team raised approximately €3,000 for the Hope Cancer Support Centre through their participation in Battle Cancer, a 90-minute CrossFit challenge.
Joined by members from 300 other gyms, Icon Fitness chose to dedicate all proceeds from the event to the Hope Cancer Support Centre in Wexford. The initiative was part of a broader effort where teams fundraised for cancer charities across Ireland.
Alison Malone, a participant from Icon Fitness, emphasized the significance of their involvement: “We felt compelled to contribute to the Hope Centre as cancer affects so many lives in profound ways.”
Acknowledging the leadership of Rebecca Robinson and Denise Leniston in motivating the team, Alison extended her gratitude to all supporters and sponsors who backed their cause.
