Scott Disick found himself in an unexpected situation when his weight loss medication, Mounjaro, made an appearance on The Kardashians, leaving him visibly surprised. In the February 27 episode of the Hulu reality series, Khloe Kardashian, 40, and Kendall Jenner, 29, shared the news with Disick during a FaceTime call, pointing out that his Mounjaro medication was clearly visible in his refrigerator on screen.
“Did you see what’s in your fridge?” Khloe asked, before teasing Scott, who appeared confused at first.
“No?” Scott replied, unaware of what she was referring to.
Soon after, he realized the weight loss drug had become a part of the show’s storyline. “No! It shows the Mounjaro? You’re lying,” he responded, his surprise evident.
Khloe and Kendall couldn’t help but laugh at the situation, with Khloe adding, “It’s everywhere, Scott.” The medication was seen in the episode, which was filmed during a time when Scott was recovering from a serious car accident. At that time, he was unable to stay as active as he normally would, leading to some weight gain.
In an October 2023 episode, Scott admitted to feeling “barely mobile” due to the accident, explaining to Khloé, “Since the car accident, everything has changed. I haven’t been able to run around, I’ve gained weight.”
During the recent FaceTime call, Scott’s reaction to the news was one of mock frustration. “Oh, f— me running!” he exclaimed. However, he quickly clarified that he wasn’t ashamed of using the medication, adding, “By the way, I’m not embarrassed that I took it!”
Khloe responded with reassurance, “You shouldn’t be.”
The scene then cut to Khloe’s confessional, where she humorously suggested Scott could have been more discreet while filming. “Do what everyone else does, hide your drugs!” she laughed, though she was quick to dismiss the idea with a playful “No.”
Mounjaro, which contains tirzepatide, is FDA-approved for the treatment of Type 2 diabetes. Like Ozempic (semaglutide), it has gained attention after being used off-label for weight loss by several celebrities. A-list stars, including Whoopi Goldberg, have openly discussed their use of the medication, with Goldberg revealing that she used it after reaching nearly 300 lbs.
While Mounjaro has become a popular choice for those seeking weight loss solutions, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center cautions that the drug should only be used as prescribed by a healthcare provider. The medical facility also warns of potential risks, including the possibility of thyroid tumors, including cancer, associated with its use.
