The word “strength training” sounds very “violent”, but in fact it is not the case. The push-ups and squats we see every day are also strength training. Strength training is not exclusive to men. Girls can do some strength training to tighten muscles and shape body curves during weight loss.
What is strength training: Strength training refers to exercises that improve muscle strength, endurance, and shape through multiple repetitions, multiple sets, and rhythmic weight-bearing exercises. Strength training is mainly anaerobic exercise, such as weighted squats, push-ups, barbell rowing and other exercises. However, we can make it have the advantages of aerobic exercise through light weight, multiple repetitions, and multiple sets of circular exercises, which can decompose and utilize the lactic acid produced by anaerobic metabolism again to reduce muscle discomfort.
What are strength training: strength training can be divided into equipment training, free weight training, and self-weight training.
Equipment training: It is the most common weight training machine in the fitness center. It is best to consult the on-site coach when using it. The equipment may need to be fine-tuned before use.
Free weight training: refers to the training that can be completed independently without mechanical assistance, relying on dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells or other weight-bearing equipment, such as large tires, long-handled hammers, etc. It is recommended that someone be on the side to assist, and the choice of weight should be done gradually.
Self-weight training: As the name suggests, use your own body weight to train without equipment, such as squats, sit-ups, etc. We all know the advantages, simple and cost-effective. The disadvantage is the lack of progressive resistance, but it is enough for beginners to effectively lose fat, exercise cardio and shape.
