Police Bust Illegal Drug Operation in Hyderabad, Seize ₹10 Lakh Worth of Banned Supplements and Performance Enhancers
In a joint operation, the Kollur police, along with the Special Operations Teams (SOT) of Madhapur and the Anti-Drug Squad, apprehended two individuals and confiscated banned supplements and performance-enhancing drugs valued at ₹10 lakh.
The operation led to the arrest of the prime suspect, Ahmed Bin Abdul Qader, aged 33, who also owns a gym, along with his accomplice, Mohd Ibrahim, aged 27. Law enforcement officials successfully seized the illicit drugs, which were found in the form of injection vials and tablets, from the duo.
According to police reports, Abdul Qader had been operating a gym in Chandrayangutta for the past year. However, due to insufficient earnings, he allegedly devised a scheme to distribute banned supplements and performance-enhancing drugs among gym members. It is alleged that he procured these contraband items from a known supplier at ₹300 per unit and subsequently sold them to unsuspecting customers for prices ranging between ₹1,000 and ₹1,400.
Cyberabad police have urged the public to actively participate in curbing the drug trade by reporting any information related to drug suppliers.
