In a recent interview on the ‘Scheananigans’ podcast, Kelly Osbourne opened up about her post-partum weight loss journey after giving birth to her son, Sidney, who is now 10 months old. The former ‘Fashion Police’ star candidly shared her experiences, revealing that while she initially embarked on a mission to shed the pounds gained during pregnancy, she acknowledged that she went “too far” in her pursuit of weight loss.
Kelly Osbourne recalled her determination to lose the baby weight, stating, “[I was] on a mission after having the baby to lose all [my] baby weight.” However, she candidly admitted to taking her weight loss efforts beyond what was necessary, saying, “Then I was like, ‘Well, I lost all the baby weight. Let’s see how far I can go with it.’ And then went a little too far.”
During the podcast discussion, Kelly also praised Rihanna for her transformative influence on maternity fashion. Rihanna recently welcomed her second child, Riot, with A$AP Rocky, a sibling for their 15-month-old son, RZA. Kelly Osbourne noted that Rihanna has redefined what is considered appropriate in maternity fashion, allowing expectant mothers to explore a wider range of clothing options.
Reflecting on her own pregnancy experience, Kelly shared her regret at not having had the opportunity to showcase her pregnancy belly, citing her initial discomfort with her body. She humorously remarked, “Also, it made me sad because I didn’t get to show off my pregnancy belly because I literally was a f****** moose and it was embarrassing.”
It is worth noting that Kelly Osbourne has previously been open about her weight loss journey. In 2018, she revealed that she underwent a gastric sleeve operation as part of her weight loss strategy. She later expressed pride in her decision to opt for this surgical procedure during an interview on the ‘Hollywood Raw’ podcast in 2021. Kelly clarified, “I had surgery; I don’t give a f*** what anyone has to say. I did it, I’m proud of it, they can suck s***. I did the gastric sleeve. All it does is change the shape of your stomach. I got that almost two years ago. I will never ever ever lie about it ever. It is the best thing I have ever done.” She emphasized that the surgery served as a tool to help her move in a healthier direction, contingent upon her ongoing commitment to exercise and a balanced diet.
