In a shocking incident, a man who was abducted at gunpoint from outside a gym in Shelby Township was discovered bound in the back of the suspect’s vehicle, which had crashed in Sterling Heights on Monday night. The victim, a 24-year-old male, was taken from the Lifetime Fitness located near Hall and Hayes in Shelby Township at approximately 9:30 p.m.
A “Be On the Lookout” (BOLO) alert was swiftly issued, leading police to spot the suspect vehicle in Clinton Township. The driver attempted to evade authorities, initiating a pursuit that culminated in a crash near Dearing and 15 Mile in Sterling Heights.
Upon reaching the crash scene, law enforcement officers were met with the harrowing discovery of the abducted man bound inside the vehicle. Subsequently, two teenagers and one adult were apprehended; however, the teenagers were later released after it was determined that they were not involved in the abduction.
