The victim, identified as Varun, was attacked by the assailant, Jordan Andrade, also 24, with a knife to the temple. The attack unfolded on a Sunday morning, leaving Varun with severe injuries. Following the incident, law enforcement swiftly apprehended the assailant, Jordan Andrade. Andrade now faces serious charges, including aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and attempted murder.
The victim’s condition is grave, as per PTI reports, and he was rushed to a Fort Wayne hospital due to the extent of his injuries. Varun’s chances of survival were reported to be as low as zero to five percent. The circumstances leading to this violent attack are still under scrutiny by authorities.
In his statement to the police, Andrade claimed that he had requested a massage on the fateful morning and had entered the massage room, where he encountered Varun, whom he did not know but found “a little weird.” Andrade, per a charging document, perceived Varun as a threat, leading to his reaction.
