Lynchburg, Va. (WSET) — The energy in the room is electric at Kinetix in Lynchburg as Lorena Address leads the group’s workout. Today’s class is an extra celebration as Address made the national final four for Instructor of the Year for a 65 plus workout program called Silver Sneakers.
“I love being able to celebrate with the ladies to really help encourage them to grow and get confident because this is the age that is really hard to do that,” Address said.
The people who take Address’ Silver Sneakers classes nominated her. “She is so deserving of this award. She is in it 110 percent,” said Eileen Holt, a student in the class.
Address has been a fitness teacher for over 15 years. Her energy is infectious and warm, and her uplifting workout classes are a reflection of how much she cares. “You see, I hug them, I love on them, and that’s maybe what they needed to come,” Address said.
Address’ students said that her positive attitude keeps them coming back. “That’s my motto, let’s have fun! I’m all about fun!” Address said.
Lorena Address’ achievement is a testament to her dedication and passion for helping her community stay active and healthy. Being in the final four for such a prestigious award highlights the impact she has had on her students and the community.
