Ridgefield Continuing Education is set to launch new yoga and stretch classes starting September 23. Registration details are provided at the end of this article. Interested individuals are encouraged to join ongoing classes that have recently commenced.

Yoga Stretching with Julie Shaw – Morning and Evening Sessions
Experience the benefits of Viniyoga, a traditional yoga practice rooted in the teachings of T. Krisnamācārya, focusing on personalized adaptation to meet individual needs. Julie Shaw, a seasoned instructor with over 35 years of experience, offers both morning and evening classes. Certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists, Shaw also trains future yoga therapists at the American Viniyoga Institute. The classes are open to all levels, from beginners to seasoned practitioners. Participants should bring a yoga mat, block, and blanket.

Gentle Flow Yoga with Erin Lutz – Evening Sessions
Ideal for beginner to intermediate students, Erin Lutz’s Gentle Flow Yoga classes focus on vinyasa and traditional poses, enhancing strength, flexibility, and relaxation. Lutz, a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with a 200-hour certification from InnerSpace, also teaches Gentle Flow Yoga and Chair Yoga in the region. Participants should bring a mat, blocks, blanket or towel, and a water bottle. Make-up classes for weather cancellations will be scheduled at the end of the session or on an open calendar date.
Fall Sessions: September 23, 30; October 7, 21, 28; November 4, 18 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at East Ridge Middle School. Note: No class on October 14; November 11.
