The late Dr. Michael Mosley was renowned for his health advice and television appearances. He developed two popular diet plans that have reportedly helped thousands of individuals improve their lifestyles and lose weight. Until his untimely passing earlier this year, Dr. Mosley dedicated his work to helping people enhance their health and well-being.
His Fast 800 diet encourages a moderately low-carb intake of no more than 800 calories per day, combined with regular exercise. Individuals are advised to follow the plan for a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of 12 weeks to effectively “kick start weight loss,” provided they consult with their healthcare provider beforehand.
The Fast 800 plan has gained immense popularity, boasting around 180,000 followers on Instagram. Recently, a new post featured a “delicious” breakfast option suitable for those following this plan or Dr. Mosley’s 5:2 diet, which allows only 500 calories on two days of the week.
The Instagram post showcased a tempting plate of low-carb pancakes. Accompanied by a voiceover, it highlighted the benefits of starting the day with a low-carb breakfast: “Did you know that starting your day the low-carb way could look like this? These pancakes are low carb but high in protein and fiber. The perfect mix to fuel you for the day ahead.”
According to the Fast 800 website, the pancakes are made with almond meal, Fast 800 vanilla shake powder, an egg, and milk. The video also featured the pancakes topped with stewed plums, blueberries, and a dollop of yogurt.
The post reveals that each serving contains 443 calories, along with 31.3 grams of protein and 12.2 grams of fiber. The enticing breakfast option has garnered hundreds of likes from fans of Dr. Mosley and his diet plans.
