HGTV star Ben Napier is sharing details about his impressive weight loss transformation, shedding nearly 100 pounds over the past three years.
During a March 2025 appearance on the Tamron Hall Show alongside his wife and Home Town Takeover co-star Erin Napier, Ben revealed that he has lost 95 pounds since embarking on his health journey. The decision to prioritize his well-being came after he was diagnosed with high blood pressure and later underwent shoulder surgery in 2023.
“They wanted to put me on blood pressure medication. And then I had shoulder surgery. It’s amazing how much weight you lose when you can’t lift weights—it’s mostly muscle,” Napier explained during the interview.
Erin Napier emphasized that her husband’s transformation was entirely self-driven. “He was really super self-motivated,” she said, adding that her only hope is for them to enjoy a long life together. “I just want him to be alive as long as I am alive,” she stated. The couple, who share two daughters, Helen, 7, and Mae, 3, also considered his health a priority for their family’s future.
Ben Napier Embraces Yoga and Homegrown Foods
In a separate March 2025 interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Napiers provided further insight into Ben’s fitness regimen. He credited yoga as his primary form of exercise and revealed that he also follows an intermittent fasting routine. Erin playfully noted that his newfound lifestyle extends beyond fitness, saying, “He built this huge garden at the farm and wants to eat just what we grow. He’s becoming a little crunchy—this close to being a hippie!”
Laughing, she added, “He’s turned into an 80-year-old man who is really into gardening.”
Despite his progress, Ben Napier confirmed that he is still working toward additional weight loss but prefers to keep his ultimate goal private.
Erin Napier Highlights Her Husband’s Commitment to Health
Erin has long been supportive of Ben’s dedication to improving his health. In a July 2023 Instagram post, she shared a video of him looking noticeably slimmer in a button-down shirt and tan slacks. In the caption, she detailed how he “got hardcore about his health and fitness last winter ahead of his big shoulder surgery in March so he could sleep better on his back and lower his BP.”
She proudly announced that he had achieved his goal, writing, “Mission accomplished.”
