In a recent Instagram video, Schumer shared her experience with Mounjaro, a popular weight loss medication, revealing that it’s been “great” for her and that she’s seeing positive results.
In her March 21st video, filmed from the front seat of her car, Schumer reflected on her health journey, particularly her past struggles with weight loss medications. She acknowledged the challenges of managing her weight, especially after being diagnosed with conditions like endometriosis and Cushing’s Syndrome. She has previously experimented with various treatments, including Ozempic and even liposuction, but found that they came with significant drawbacks.
Schumer, who has openly discussed her struggles with weight loss and body image in the past, admitted that her experience with Ozempic, which led to a rapid 30-pound weight loss, left her feeling unwell. “I lost 30 pounds so quick,” she said in the video. “I looked great, but I couldn’t lift my head off the pillow. So, what’s the point?”
Her dissatisfaction with the rapid weight loss and its impact on her everyday life led Schumer to discontinue Ozempic. She explained that the drug made her feel ill, and she needed to find an alternative approach to managing her health.
After some time, Schumer discovered that she had entered perimenopause, a stage of hormonal transition leading up to menopause.
