Gemma Collins, the 44-year-old television personality, proudly revealed her impressive two-stone weight loss after starting NHS-approved weight-loss injections. Sharing her progress with fans on Instagram, Collins, known for her time on The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE), expressed how the transformation has made her feel “like a million dollars.”
Collins, who has struggled with diets for years, began using the Mounjaro injections to support her weight loss journey. She has since shed two dress sizes, moving from a size 26 to a size 20. As part of her transformation, Collins has partnered with fitness clothing brand TLC Sport, becoming the face of their size-inclusive collection.
In a recent Instagram post, Collins showed off her new figure, wearing pieces from TLC Sport’s line. Speaking directly to the camera, she shared how the garments made her feel: “I just love wearing my compression garments; they make you feel super snatched. And they’re super comfy, breathable. I feel a million dollars in them; you can dress them up or dress them down.”
In an earlier interview with The Sun, Collins shared how the injections have helped her achieve effortless weight loss. “I can’t believe I’ve finally found something that works,” she said. “I’ve lost nearly two stone already, and it’s been completely effortless – I don’t even want to eat anymore!”
Collins’ weight loss journey is far from over. With a goal to reach a size 16, she is focused on continuing her progress. At her heaviest, Collins weighed 23 stone and wore a size 26. However, with the help of the injections, she has already dropped to a size 20. She revealed that she lost 6kg in just her first week of using the injections and confidently predicts that she’ll reach her six-stone weight loss goal by May.
In addition to her desire to improve her health, one of the main motivations behind her weight loss is her goal of starting a family with her fiancé, Rami Hawash. Collins has expressed her belief that losing more weight will increase her chances of becoming pregnant.
Before opting for the weight-loss injections, Collins briefly underwent a gastric balloon procedure, but the surgery was reversed after she experienced severe complications. Reflecting on the ordeal, she described it as a “scary” experience, admitting that she regretted the decision and feared for her life due to the intense pain it caused.
As Gemma Collins continues on her weight-loss journey, she remains determined to reach her target and is excited about the future, both in terms of her health and her family plans.
