Meghan Trainor, known for her hit “All About That Bass,” has revealed a striking transformation in her appearance, sparking widespread curiosity about the secrets behind her impressive weight loss. At the recent Billboard Women in Music event, the singer shared insights into her health journey and credited “science” for her success.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Trainor discussed her approach to fitness, which now goes beyond her previous focus on weightlifting. She acknowledged past fitness mistakes and explained how she has adopted a more scientific approach to improve her health.
“Science is the secret, I love it,” Trainor said. “I learned so many tricks I didn’t know before. I used to work out all wrong. I was running and doing cardio, and my body was always inflamed and hated it. Now, I’m trying to biohack my body. Anything that can help me age backwards, I’m into it. I just learned about NADs and thought, ‘Make me Hailey Bieber, I’ll do it.’ So yeah, I’m trying everything. I love when a doctor explains things to me.”
Understanding NAD and Its Benefits
One key element Trainor has embraced is NAD (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide), a molecule crucial for energy production in cells. According to research, NAD levels decrease with age, which could contribute to the aging process. Supplements that boost NAD levels have become popular for their potential to slow down aging and improve overall vitality.
Fans’ Reactions and Mounjaro Mention
Trainor’s openness about her journey has drawn mixed reactions, especially with the rise of weight loss drugs like Ozempic. Some fans took to social media, suggesting she was using Ozempic. One user commented, “Girl, just say Ozempic,” while others pointed out the apparent contradiction with her body-positive message in “All About That Bass.”
However, Trainor did not leave fans guessing. In a candid Instagram post, she revealed that she had used a medication to support her weight loss efforts. “No, I don’t look like I did 10 years ago,” she wrote. “I’ve been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me. I’ve worked with a dietician, made huge lifestyle changes, started exercising with a trainer, and yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my second pregnancy. And I’m so glad I did because I feel great.”
Mounjaro, the brand name for Tirzepatide, is a prescription injectable used to aid weight loss in people with type 2 diabetes.
Through her transparency, Trainor continues to inspire her fans to prioritize their health and embrace the power of science and personal growth.
