Halle Berry Shares Fitness and Diet Tips for Toned Arms and Flat Belly at 58

Halle Berry has adapted her diet and fitness routine as she navigates menopause, making adjustments to maintain her health. In a March 12 appearance on The Tamsen Show podcast, the Hollywood actress opened up about her evolving approach to nutrition and exercise.

Diet Changes

Berry shared that while she once followed a keto diet to manage her diabetes, she now includes some carbs in her meals. “At this stage in life, I need a little carbs for energy,” she explained. Her energy levels have changed, and she manages her blood sugar by eliminating other foods instead. She emphasized the importance of incorporating vitamins into her daily routine, saying she now takes about 16 different supplements, which she describes as crucial to her health.

“I believe in every single one of them, and I will not miss them no matter what,” Berry said. “I still work out religiously to maintain lean muscle mass and for optimal health.”

Evolving Workout Routine

Berry’s fitness routine has also undergone significant changes, shifting away from cardio in favor of weight training. “I used to do a lot of cardio, but now I do no cardio at all,” she revealed. Instead, she focuses on lifting heavier weights, a practice she had not done before. “I never wanted to get muscles,” she admitted, “but now I’m lifting heavy weights two extra days a week compared to before.”

Despite lifting more, she says she isn’t aiming for a muscular physique. “I’m just holding on to the muscle I have, and that’s important at this age,” Berry added, highlighting that maintaining muscle mass is a priority as she ages.

Her fitness regimen now focuses on strengthening her body in a way that suits her current life stage, with a mix of necessary adjustments to ensure long-term health and vitality.
