Jeddah, April 21 (SocialNews.XYZ) – Preparations are underway for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Saudi Arabia, creating excitement among both the Indian diaspora and local residents. The visit, particularly in Jeddah, is being celebrated by the Indian community as a historic event.
PM Modi’s global advocacy for Yoga is also gaining widespread recognition. His visit is expected to strengthen the longstanding ties between India and Saudi Arabia, particularly in cultural and spiritual exchanges.
For the Indian community in Jeddah, the visit is nothing short of a festival. Members of the diaspora have called the occasion “historic” and “golden.” Salwa Almadani, an Indian expatriate, expressed her joy, saying, “When Prime Minister Modi visits, it’s a sacred moment for us. We feel immense pride and excitement. His contributions are beyond words.”
Students at the International Indian School in Jeddah are also eager to witness the visit. Nihan Abful, a student, shared, “It’s a big moment for us to see PM Modi in person. We are all excited and can’t wait.” Another student, Soha, mentioned they’ve been preparing special cultural performances for the event, including Dandiya and other dance acts. “We’ve been rehearsing for weeks. We’re looking forward to it,” she said.
Shireen Farhana, director of Phenom Academy, shared her excitement, saying, “This feels like my second home, and it’s a special honor to welcome PM Modi. I’m thrilled to see him in person.”
Local resident Ghada Asad also expressed her happiness. “I’m excited that PM Modi is visiting Jeddah for the first time. India and Saudi Arabia have a deep connection. Our herbs and basmati rice come from India, and I cherish that bond.”
Asad added, “The visit strengthens the historic relationship between our two countries. The people of Saudi Arabia are thrilled to welcome the Indian Prime Minister with open arms.”
PM Modi’s role in promoting Yoga worldwide is also gaining recognition in Saudi Arabia, where Yoga’s popularity has surged. Many locals now incorporate Yoga into their daily routines.
“I’ve been practicing Yoga for the past 10 years, and it’s been incredibly helpful for my mental and physical health,” said Ghada Asad. “It’s alleviated several physical issues, and I highly recommend it to everyone.”
Salwa Almadani also shared how Yoga has transformed her life, saying, “Yoga helped me overcome several health problems. It’s now my passion to teach others about it.”
Since PM Modi introduced the idea of International Day of Yoga at the United Nations in 2014, the practice has gained global prominence, with its influence becoming increasingly visible in Saudi Arabia.
Salwa Almadani said, “I’m grateful to PM Modi for promoting Yoga. It’s now practiced everywhere in Saudi Arabia—schools, malls, and gyms. It’s accessible to everyone, regardless of gender. Watching PM Modi practice Yoga is inspiring, and his efforts have turned Yoga into a global cultural bridge between India and Saudi Arabia.”
As the visit approaches, one Indian expatriate shared, “We’re all so excited. This is a golden opportunity to meet our Prime Minister. Preparations are going well, though there’s a mix of excitement and nervousness as we prepare to perform in front of him.”
